Detailed Solution

In rectangle ABCD Given that, AB=25   cm and BC = 15cm.
Question ImageSince, CO is the bisector of C   that divides AB. OCB=OCD= 45 ° ........................(1)
In  ΔOCB   using angle sum property:
CBO+OCB+COB= 180 ° 90 ° + 45 ° +COB= 180 ° COB= 180 ° ( 90 ° + 45 ° ) COB= 180 ° ( 135 ° ) COB= 45 ° .....................(2)   From equation (1) and (2),
OCB=COB OB=BC OB= 15 cm   [sides to opposite to the equal angles are also equal]
And finding side AO,
25x=OB x=25OB x=2515 x=10cm
Thus AO= 10cm.
Now the ratio by which CO divides AB is AO: OB.
So ratio,
1015=23
Hence, option 1 is correct.
