Detailed Solution

Given a right angle triangle.
It is a figure of right angle triangle,
Question ImageRight angle triangle has base, perpendicular(altitude) and hypotenuse.
Angle between the base and perpendicular is right angle i.e. 90 and we know that the sum of all three angles of a triangle is 180 .
So the sum of remaining two angles is equal to 90 .
So the right angle is the largest angle which is between base and perpendicular.
Hence the side opposite to the largest angle is always longest which is hypotenuse.
So, the longest side is called hypotenuse and it is opposite to the right angle.
Hence, the correct option is 1.
