Time spent in school from 8:30 AM to PM = 6 hours

Converting time into minutes,

we know that 1 hour = 60 minutes

6 hours= 6 x 60 = 360 minutes

time spent for lunch = 30 minutes

Ratio of school time to lunch time =$\frac{360}{30}=12:1$
