We know that if two quantities

vary in the same way while maintaining a constant ratio between their respective values, then the two quantities are said to be in direct proportion.
i.e.

where k is a constant positive number.
Since the amount of time increases, the number of the bottles filled also increases.
Therefore, it is a case of direct proportion.
Let

be the number of bottles filled in 5 hours.
Then from the given data, we can draw the following table as.

Time in hours

$x 1 = 6$

$x 2 = 5$

Number of bottles filled

$(y)$

$y 1 = 840$

$y 2$

Thus,

6840 = 5 y 2 ⇒ y 2 = 5 × 840 6 ⇒ y 2 = 700

Therefore, 700 bottles can be filled in 5 hours.
So, option 1 is correct.
