Concept- To find the valid number of votes subtract the invalid number of votes from the total number of votes.
Total number of invalid votes

= 20 % of 600000

= \frac{20}{100} \times 600000 = 120000

Total number of valid votes polled

= 600000 - 120000 = 480000
