Given, in an examination, there are three papers each of 100 marks. A candidate got 53 marks in the first paper and 75 marks in the second paper.
Total marks is 300.
Let the marks obtained in the third paper be x.

Overall percentage = \frac{Overall marks obtained}{total marks} \times 100

70 =

\frac{53 + 75 + x}{300} \times 100

70(3) = 128 + x
x = 210 - 128
x = 82 marks
He needs to get 82 marks in the third paper.
