In angiosperms, microsporogenesis and megasporogenesis

In angiosperms, microsporogenesis and megasporogenesis involve meiosis. In microsporogenesis and megasporogenesis, the microspore mother cell and megaspore mother cell undergo meiosis to form haploid micropores and megaspores respectively. The microspores and megaspores further undergo mitosis to form the gametes. The microsporogenesis occur in the microsporangium of the anther and the megasporogenesis occur in nucellus of the ovule.
