Detailed Solution

In between the rabi and the kharif seasons, there is a short season during the summer months known as the Zaid season. In the Zaid season, the crops are grown between March & June. Zaid crops require dry and warm weather with longer days. Zaid crops are also known as gap filler crops because they are grown between the Rabi and Kharif seasons, which are two chief crops also. Zaid crops give instant profit to the farmer because they take less time to develop. Some Zaid crops are Cucumber, Pumpkin, Sugarcane, Groundnut, Bitter gourd, Watermelon, Pulses, Muskmelon, etc.
