Conducting elections in a country does not make it a democracy. The same situation happens in the case of China. In China, after every five years, elections are held for a parliament called the Quanguo Renmin Daibiao Dahui or National People's Congress. The members are either elected through a direct election, and some others are chosen through military leaders. Regardless of the polls, the contesting candidates must first be approved by the ruling party. Unfortunately, only one party named, the Communist Party of China remains in power in China. Thus, elections in China do not give the people any choice.
