Concept: Catla catla is the face confluent fish in compound fish husbandry. Composite fish husbandry is rehearsed to gain the maximum yield of fish from a lake or force where several species of fishes are grazed together in proper proportion in the same pond so that all the available ecological niches of the pond are exploited which leads to an increase in the product several times.
Compound fish husbandry is also known with the terms mixed husbandry, compound fish culture, or polyculture. The fish Cirrhina mrigala fed on the bottom of the compound system so it's called a nethermost confluent.
The fish Hilsa is a sludge confluent because it fed different kinds of planktons using a sludge after grubbing the muddy bottom of the pond.
