Vasa recta are well-developed in juxtamedullary nephrons while they are absent or highly reduced in juxtamedullary nephrons. Both cortical nephrons and juxtamedullary nephrons have renal corpuscles, glomerulus and loop of Henle but differ from each other by the location of renal corpuscle, the length of loop of Henle.
