Detailed Solution

In federalism, power is divided between the Centre and state governments.
Federalism is a system of government with two or more levels of government. This is a power-sharing arrangement between a central authority responsible for ruling the entire country and the provincial governments elected to govern the country's constituent units. Although the central government is considered at a higher level, it can not act arbitrarily. The state governments have their authority and jurisdictions within which they can exercise power. There may also be a local level of government since a federal structure can have two or more levels of government.
