Below the Pharynx is a hollow tube-like structure called a voice box(larynx), which produces sound in humans.  

The voice box is also known as the larynx.

The larynx/ voice box is involved in swallowing, breathing, and voice production. Sound is produced when the air which passes through the vocal cords causes them to vibrate and create sound waves in the pharynx, nose and mouth.
