Detailed Solution

Concept: The sweet pea, Lathyrus odoratus, is a flowering factory in the rubric Lathyrus in the family Fabaceae. Mendel studied the genetics of pea shops and he traced the heritage of a range of characteristics, which includes the flower color, flower position, seed color, and seed shape.
To do so he started up by crossing pure parentage parent shops with different forms of a characteristic, similar as violet and white flowers. Pure parentage which means that the factory will always make further seed like itself when tone- fertilized over lots of generations.
The Principle of Segregation gives the idea of how dyads of gene variants are separated into reproductive cells. The isolation of gene variants which are called alleles, and their original traits was first observed by Gregor Mendel in 1865. Mendel has studied genetics by performing love making crosses in pea shops.
He crossed two heterozygous pea shops, which means each of the shops had two different alleles at a particular inheritable position. He exposed that the traits in the seed of his crosses didn't always equal the traits in the maternal shops. This means that the brace of alleles garbling the traits in each maternal factory had divided or insulated from one another during the conformation of the reproductive cells.
From this data Mendel formulated the Principle of Segregation. The reason for which the purple unfolded gives pink and white get is due to isolation. isolation is the reason that alleles are separated during gamete conformation and not blended.
Hence, option 4 is the correct answer
