But South Africa was ruled by apartheid laws, so these races were not allowed to live together in a common area. There were a lot of restrictions for black and Indian people because white people considered themselves the best, or according to race, there were differences in facilities for health, education, etc. Even non-white people were not allowed to vote, or they had to live in the worst places. The place of living was divided between white and non-white people. The white people force non-white people to learn the Afrikaans language, but the non-whites protest against it. Finally, after a long time, they get equality.
