In starfish, the locomotory organs are tube feet

The tube feet are part of the water vascular system. They are small tubular projections present on the oral surface of the echinoderms. They comprise the ampulla and the podium.

The entire water vascular system operates as a hydraulic system during locomotion. When water is drawn into the ampulla through the canals, the podia are lifted and move forward. Thus, tube feet function in a synchronized manner during locomotion. They are also used for feeding and respiration.
