Detailed Solution

In the 1920s, the leading car manufacturer company in the US was Ford.
Henry Ford, a well-known mass-production pioneer, was a vehicle manufacturer .and was the leading car manufacturer company in the US in the 1920s. He transferred a Chicago slaughterhouse assembly line to his new vehicle production in Detroit (where butchers picked apart butchered animals as they came down a conveyor belt). He realised that by employing an "assembly line" technique, he would be able to create vehicles faster and at a lesser cost. The assembly line needed workers to perform a single job mechanically and continuously at a rate determined by the conveyor belt, such as fitting a particular item to a car.
