Detailed Solution

Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer (MOET) is a programme for herd improvement, especially in cattle. In this method, FSH is injected to the female which causes the ovaries to release more than one egg in a cycle. Multiple eggs are then fertilised inside the cow and collected non-surgically, usually one week after mating (or artificial insemination). These embryos are transferred into surrogate mothers so that the genetic mother is available for another round of super ovulation.
