The given equation is 5 3x−1 ÷25=125.  
Therefore we have,
5 3x−1 25 =125   ⇒ 5 3x−1 =125×25= 5 3 × 5 2   Apply a m × a n = a m+n   in the above equation, then
⇒ 5 3x−1 = 5 3 +2 ⇒ 5 3x−1 = 5 5   Comparing the powers of the above equation, we get,
    3x−1=5 ⇒3x=5+1 ⇒3x=6 ⇒x=2   Therefore the value of x   is 2.
