In  ΔAOB, we have

∠OAB + ∠x + 90° = 180°

∠x = 180° – 90° – 35° = 55°

Also,

∠y + ∠DAO + ∠BAO + ∠x = 180°

∠y + 35° + 35° + 55° = 180°
