Using virtual work method,

a1=4a2 or s1=4s2=4×9=36m

Applying second law of motion gives,

T-μmg=ma1 and 2mg-4T=2ma2

After solving we get, a1=329m/s2

Using equation of Kinematics, 

v2=u2+2a1s1 v=16 m/s

 

Alternate solution, 

12m2v2+12m1(4v)2=m2g×y-μm1g(4y)

 where y=9m
