We have given a rectangle ABCD.
We know that the opposite sides in a rectangle are equal.
Therefore from the figure, we have,
x+y=22                     (1) x−y=16                      (2)  
Adding equation (1) and equation (2), we get,
    2x=38 ⇒x=19  
Put the value of x   in equation (1), we get,
  19+y=16 ⇒y=3   Thus the values of x   and y   are respectively 19 and 3.
Hence option (3) is correct.
