Given: Diameter, AB = 13 cm

BC = 5 cm

We know that the angle subtended by the diameter of a circle is always 90^o.

$∴ ∠ C = 90^{o}$

In triangle ABC,

AB² = BC² + AC²

⇒ 13² = 5² + AC²

⇒ AC² = 169 - 25

⇒ AC² = 144

⇒ AC = 12 cm
