$\begin{array}{l}\mathrm{AB}=1\mathrm{m}=100\mathrm{cm},\mathrm{AC}=75\mathrm{cm}\text{ and }\mathrm{BD}=125\mathrm{cm}\\ \text{ In }\mathrm{△}\mathrm{BAC}\text{ and }\mathrm{△}\mathrm{BDA},\text{ we have }\\ \left.\mathrm{\angle }\mathrm{BAC}=\mathrm{\angle }\mathrm{BDA}\text{ [Each eqial to }{90}^{\circ }\right]\\ \text{ And }\mathrm{\angle }\mathrm{B}=\mathrm{\angle }\mathrm{B}\end{array}$
So, by AA – criterion of similarity, we obtain
$\begin{array}{l}\mathrm{\Delta BAC}~\mathrm{\Delta BDA}\\ \Rightarrow \frac{\mathrm{BA}}{\mathrm{BD}}=\frac{\mathrm{AC}}{\mathrm{AD}}\\ \Rightarrow \frac{100}{125}=\frac{75}{\mathrm{AD}}\\ \Rightarrow \mathrm{AD}=\frac{125\times 75}{100}\mathrm{cm}=93.75\mathrm{cm}\end{array}$
