In the given figure, ABCD is a rectangle inscribed in a circle, then the area of the shaded region is (use  $\pi =3.14$)

Given length $=4cm$, Breadth $=3cm$

   $\therefore$ diagonal of the rectangle =

  Diameter of the circle $=\sqrt{4^2+3^2}$

 $=\sqrt{16+9}=\sqrt{25}=5cm$

   $\therefore$ The radius of the circle $=\frac{5}{2}=2.5cm$

   $\therefore$ The area of the circle $=\pi \times {\left(2.5\right)}^2$

   $\Rightarrow 3.14\times 6.25=19.63c{m}^2$

  The area of rectangle $=4\times 3=12c{m}^2$

  $\therefore$ The area of the shaded region = Area of the circle – Area of the rectangle.

   $\Rightarrow 19.63-12=7.63c{m}^2$
