Given that, BC=15cm   and  sinB= 4 5  .
Question ImageWrite sinB= 4 5   in terms of the ratio of sides.
sinB= 4 5   AC AB = 4k 5k   We know that, sinθ   is the ratio of opposite side (AC) to the hypotenuse(AB).
Apply Pythagoras theorem to find the value of k  .
In a right triangle ABC  ,
(base) 2 + (perpendicular) 2 = (hypotenuse) 2  
A B 2 =B C 2 +A C 2 25 k 2 =225+16 k 2 25 k 2 16 k 2 =225 9 k 2 =225 k 2 = 225 9 k 2 =25 k=±5   Discard the negative value of k  .
Thus, k=5  .
So,
AB=5k =5(5) =25cm  
AC=4k =4(5) =20cm  
Find the value of tanB,cosB  .
cosθ= Adjacent side Hypotenuse

And, tanθ= Opposite side Adjacent side  .
tanB= AC BC tanB= 20 15 tanB= 4 3   Now, find the value of tan 2  B 1 cos 2  B  .
