Then the area of the rectangle ABCD is 60 sq. units.

Given that,
Length of each square = 1 unit.
Given that length of each square = 1 unit.
In rectangle ABCD,
AB is the breadth of the rectangle and counting the rectangles on the boundary we got the breadth of the rectangle as 6 units.
Similarly, AD is the length of the rectangle and counting the rectangles on the boundary will give us the length of the rectangle i.e. 10 units as each square is of unit length.
∴ length = 10 units, breadth = 6 units
∴ Area of the rectangle = l
