Concept- As in the given illustration we can say that the abcd is a trapezium and we can also find  ABDnow using these two illustration  and their formula we will get BC.
AC is 7 cm,
ABCD is a trapezium therefore AB|| CD
∠DAB = 900
BD = 25 cm
CD = 17 cm
In that given illustration  we can see a triangle that is ∆ abd and the ∠A=900
As it right angle triangle we can use the Pythagoras theorem that is
bd 2  = ab 2  + announcement 2
252 = 7 2 + AD2
∴AD2 = 576 Announcement =24.
Now we can draw be from the corner B on the side CD.

AB = ED= 7cm and announcement =BE=24cm
So that CE= CD – ED = ( 17 – 7 ) = 10cm.
Now we can see one ore triangle ∆BCE, as it is 90 degree  triangle we can use pythagoras
theorem BC2 = BE2 + CE 2
 BC2 = 242+102
BC2 = 676
BC =676 
BC = 26 cm
Therefore BC is 26 cm.
Hence, the correct answer is option 2) 26cm
