Detailed Solution

A perpendicular bisector is a line segment, ray or line that passes through the midpoint of a line segment and is perpendicular to that line segment. A perpendicular bisector can divide a line segment into two equal parts.

Given,

LM = 3 cm, MN = 2 cm, and NP= 5 cm

LN=LM+MN = 3+2 = 5 cm

Thus, LN and NP are two equal parts.

Hence, DN is the perpendicular bisector of LP.
