Given, a parallelogram ABCD and rectangle ABEF having equal area and has same base.
Question ImageNow In ΔAED   And ΔBFC  
  AE=BF [Opposite sides of parallelogram] AD=BC [Opposite sides of parallelogram] AED=BFC [Both are right angles.]  
 Thus, ΔAEDΔBFC  . [By SAS test]
  DE=FC   [CPCT]
Again ΔAED   is a right angle.
 So, AD is the hypotenuse AD>AE  
 Now, from the figure we can say that, FE=FD+DE   DC=DF+FC DC=FD+DE  (as DE=FC) DC=EF  [ DE=FC   ]
Since AD>AE, perimeter ABCD>  perimeter ABFE.
Hence, the correct option is 2.
