Consider the given figure,
Question ImageWe know that the lengths of tangents drawn from a point to a circle are equal.
Therefore, PA=PB  .
So, PAB=PBA=x   (say).
Consider ΔPAB  and apply angle sum property,
PAB+PBA+APB= 180 ° x+x+ 60 ° = 180 ° 2x= 120 ° x= 60 °  
Each angle of ΔPAB   is 60 °  .
Thus, it is an equilateral triangle, i.e. AB=PA=PB=5cm   .
Hence, the length of the chord AB is 5cm   .
Therefore, option 2 is correct.
