Detailed Solution

It is given that the bisectors of B   and C   meet at a point O and A= 40 ° .
It means that B=C.   We know that the total sum of all the angles in a triangle is equal to 180 ° .
So in ΔABC,   we have,
A+B+C= 180 ° 40 ° +B+B= 180 °                       A= 40 ° , B=C 2B= 140 ° B= 70 °    Since we know the bisector divides an angle into equal parts, therefore,
OBC= 35 °  and OCB= 35 °
Using this in ΔOBC,   we will get,
BOC+OBC+OCB= 180 ° BOC+ 35 ° + 35 ° = 180 ° BOC+ 70 ° = 180 ° BOC= 110 °
Therefore, the value of BOC= 110 ° .
Thus, option (1) is correct.
