Detailed Solution

Given series is 3, 12, 27, 48, .

The series form an AP, if the difference between two consecutive terms is the same.

By simplifying it further, the series can be written as 3, 23, 33, 43, ....

The difference between a 2  a 1 = 3

And the difference between a 3  a 2 = 3

As the common difference is the same, so, the series is an AP series.

Therefore, the assertion statement, “ 3 , 12 , 27 , 48 ,   form an AP” is true and the reason "the common difference between the two consecutive terms is same" is true and supports the given assertion statement.
