Effective resistance of the circuit

$R_C=\left(\frac{3\times 6}{3+6}\right)+6ohm=8\Omega$

$\therefore$ Current through $V_1,i_1=\frac{24}{8}A=3A$

and current through $V_2,i_2=3\times \frac{3}{3+6}A=1A$
