The hypotenuse AC=16  cm   A= 60 °  
We use the trigonometric identities,
sinθ= perpendicular hypotenuse   cosθ= base hypotenuse  
The diagram will be,
Question ImageTaking AB=y   The perpendicular BC=x   Using the trigonometric identities,
sinA= x AC sin 60 ° = x 16 3 2 = x 16 [sin 60 ° = 3 2 ] x=8 3 cm  
Using the trigonometric identities to get the length of the base,
cosA= y AC cos 60 ° = y 16 1 2 = y 16 [cos 60 ° = 1 2 ] y=8cm
