Detailed Solution

In the 8th century, the medieval period began in India.
The medieval era, which lasted from the eighth to the eighteenth centuries and lies between the ancient and modern periods of history, is referred to as such. India had significant social, economic, religious, and political upheavals. The Latin terms "medius" and "aevum," which translate to "middle age," are the source of the word "medieval." Again, there are two distinct periods within the medieval era: the Early medieval period (AD 700–1200) and the Late medieval period (AD 1200- 1700). The Mughals' prolonged control in the late medieval era consolidated Indian society and aided in bringing together residents of various parts of the country.
