Detailed Solution

Boycott of foreign goods was started in the Swadeshi movement, which was started by the extremist group INC in 1905. The Swadeshi movement started in the country when the partition of Bengal took place. This movement spread over the whole of India. Partition of Bengal was the objective of Britishers to fulfil the purpose of breaking the unity of Hindus and Muslims. Divide and rule was the main objective of the Partition of Bengal. The Swadeshi movement was started by burning foreign goods, and instead of foreign goods, Swadeshi goods were made in our country by Indians.
