Detailed Solution

Both AgCl and HgS have structures similar to that of NaCl, meaning they both contain octahedral voids. LiCl also has a distorted NaCl structure.  In NH4Cl, the Cl-ions at the cell's corners can form hydrogen bonds with the NH+cation, which resides in the cubic site at the cell's center. Hence, in NH4Cl the cation NH+occupies the cubic void.
