Detailed Solution

The nation is usually symbolized in the form of figures or images.
Figures and pictures develop a feeling of collectiveness, love, and patriotism toward one’s country. The old images show the experience of the united struggles. In the 20th century, when nationalist movements spread, the identity of India was visually associated with the image of Bharat Mata. Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay first created the image of Bharat Mata in 1870 when he wrote ‘Vande Mataram.’ Abanindranath Tagore was so influenced by the Swadeshi movement that he painted his famous image of Bharat Mata. As the years passed by, images of Bharat Mata attained many forms.
