Gandhiji did not organise a Satyagraha in Bombay. However, after returning from South Africa, Gandhiji observed the situation in India for two years. The first three Satyagraha organised by Gandhiji were Champaran Satyagraha in 1917, Ahmedabad mill strike in 1918 and Kheda Satyagraha in 1918. Champaran Satyagraha abolished the Tinkathia system in Champaran village of Gujrat. Ahmedabad mill strike was done to increase 35% the salary of workers due to the plague spreading all over. Finally, Kheda Satyagraha abolished the British policy of unfair land tax.
