The image of an object placed at infinity is highly diminished and point-sized in the concave mirror, convex mirror, concave lens, and convex lens.
When rays of light coming from infinity are incident on a concave mirror, convex mirror, concave lens, or convex lens, a highly diminished image is formed at the focus, as shown in the figure.

Mirror Equation:

\frac{1}{v} + \frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f}

Lens Equation:

\frac{1}{v} - \frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f}

By substituting

u = - \infty

v = f

Magnification,

m = \frac{v}{u}

= \frac{f}{\infty}

= 0

Hence the image is point size.
