Detailed Solution

Lahore Session was in the demand of 'Purna Swaraj' formalised in December 1929. The Congress' 1929 session was critical in the struggle for freedom. It took place in Lahore, which is in the current nation of Pakistan. Jawahar Lal Nehru presided over it. The degree of freedom India desired from its colonial overlords was the main topic of discussion. In the Nehru Report, the Indians had urged that India be given dominion status. However, the British government did not acknowledge this request and did not respond on time. In response, Congress increased their demand and called for "Purna Swaraj," or total independence. The Indian independence flag was raised on the banks of the river Ravi to mark the occasion.
