Detailed Solution

India lies in the North-easterly region of winds. These winds originate in the northern hemisphere's subtropical high-pressure region. They blow southward, are diverted to the right by the Coriolis force, and travel to the equatorial low-pressure area. The wind carries limited moisture when they begin and blow across the land. So, they deliver little or no rain. India is experiencing unusual pressure and wind conditions. North of the Himalayas, there is a high-pressure area during the winter. From this area, cold, dry winds go to low-pressure zones over the southern oceans. Over interior Asia and northwest India, a low-pressure region forms in the summer. It results in a reversal of the wind's direction throughout the summer..
