In Assam, one-horned rhinoceroses were found. Assam has more than 90% of the Indian Rhino population. It is in this single state itself. Indian rhino or greater one-horned rhinoceros is a Vulnerable species, thus the species which are less than the count but more than to be included in endangered species, according to IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources). Found in the marshy and swampy areas of Indian states such as Assam and West Bengal.
