Dachigam National Park is located in Jammu and Kashmir, east of Dal Lake. It is a part of the western ranges of the Himalayas. The flora of this region is mainly coniferous owing to the high altitude. Scrub vegetation and pasture lands with waterfalls running down the mountains are a sight in this region. Snow leopard, Kashmir stag, Himalayan brown bear, and Himalayan black bear are some animal species in Dachigam national park. Bird species like the Wallcreeper, Black bulbul, and Cinnamon sparrow are also found here. It is famous for its scenic beauty and is home to the endangered Snow leopard and Kashmir stag.
