In 1935, the National Congress made a demand for a Constituent Assembly.
In April 1936, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru supervised the INC sitting in Lucknow. The authorised request for a Constituent Assembly was created, and the Government of India Act of 1935 was abandoned since it assessed the Constitution against India's choice. M. N. Roy, a supporter of revolutionary democracy and a frontier person of the Indian Communist campaign, proposed the concept of a Constituent Assembly in 1934. Jawaharlal Nehru announced in 1938 that the Indian Constitution should be prepared without foreign intermeddling.
