The Satyagraha in Ahmedabad occurred in 1918.
Mahatma Gandhi arrived from South Africa, where he used an effective approach of mass agitation that he called satyagraha to defeat the racist government. Satyagraha emphasised the importance of truth and the necessity to seek it. Mahatma Gandhi organised satyagraha activities effectively after coming to India in several locations. Mahatma Gandhi travelled to Ahmedabad in 1918 to lead cotton mill employees in a satyagraha movement.
