Detailed Solution

In 1928, women in the United Kingdom got the right to vote.
Governments have never voluntarily shared power anywhere in the world. Women and the underprivileged have had to fight for representation in politics. The First World War increased women's fight for the right to vote. This was known as the Women's suffrage movement. Because so many men were fighting during the War, women were required to perform tasks that were previously thought to be the domain of men. Many women started planning and overseeing various types of work. Consequently, there was a demand for equal voting rights for all women. Numerous suffragettes who were imprisoned and went on hunger strikes had to be fed forcefully. American women won the right to vote in 1920, whereas British women did so in 1928.
