Detailed Solution

The Non-Cooperation Movement was launched in 1920. In September 1920, the party presented the Non-Cooperation agenda at the Calcutta Congress. It signalled the start of a brand-new chapter in the history of the battle for Indian independence. Unfortunately, it was withdrawn due to the Chauri Chaura tragedy in 1922. However, this campaign was a significant turning point in the independence process because it demonstrated that the INC was finally ready to give up constitutional protections to achieve self-rule.
