Detailed Solution

Muhammad bin Tughlaq did the Sultanate reach its far extent. He was Ghiyath al-Din Tughluq's (the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty) oldest child. Ghiyasuddin sent the young Muhammad to the Deccan to conduct war against the Prataparudra of the Kakatiya dynasty, whose capital was situated at Warangal in 1321 and 1323. Observers portrayed Muhammad as an "inhuman eccentric" with a peculiar personality during his rule, and it is claimed that he gave the order to execute all the citizens of Kannauj, a Hindu city. He is recognised for implementing bold policy reforms as well. Muhammad ascended to the throne of Delhi in 1325 following the death of his father. He had a strong interest in medicine and was fluent in Persian, Hindavi Arabic, Sanskrit, and Turkish.
